Datanet offers Internet & Mobile banking facilities to a bank's customers without the bank having to invest in any capital equipment & with an easy exit option.

We have set up the complete & secure infrastructure to enable the bank to offer these services. The bank is only required to upload the data to our server & the charges are very nominal monthly payments.

The key advantages are -

The services can be started very quickly. If the bank is not moving to core banking, it could be a great facility to your customers, which they cannot get with distributed banking.
The bank can exit from the scheme with just three month's notice The bank have no hassles of selection, setting up and management etc of the infrastructure.

Security concerns are addressed at multiple levels.

  1. The Central Server connected to the Internet is protected by a strong black box Firewall mechanism. The web server and the data base servers are separate systems with strong access protection and therefore access to the web server does not result in access to the database for hacking.
  2.  Further, all the services are information only services. Hence balance or any other data is not altered by the customer by performing any of the service requests. It may be noted that in case of off-line service requests, the request and required data is registered by the customer but the service is performed later at the branch on the branch accounting system which is typically independent of the data uploading PC at the branch.
  3. Each customer is assigned a six digit PIN. Only upon entering his/her Customer ID and corresponding PIN can the customer access the data about his/her account. The PIN is stored encrypted in the central server. Further the PIN is locked if five consecutive wrong attempts are made.

The data has to be sent from branches in the format as a text file.

The different ways in which data can be sent to our server are:

  1. By e-mail from branch

  2. By e-mail from a regional or zonal office after consolidating/routing data received from branches

  3. By using FTP from branch over internet

  4. By using FTP from a regional or zonal office after consolidating/routing data received from branches over internet

Once you sign up with us & your data upload mechanisms are in place, the service can be announced in less than 10 days.

Datanet will sign a Service level Agreement with the bank including clauses for confidentiality & safety of data uploaded.
